This series depicts spaces of industry and agriculture from above; uncovering a sense of pattern and order that is not apparent from the ground. Common stacks of industrial materials and weathered markings found on rooftops are revealed as the scattered imprints of time and labor. There is a history of gestures on these surfaces that has been built up over decades– marks made by both the elements and continuous human maintenance. These landscapes are softened by their state of natural flux, revealing a harmonious natural beauty hewn from tar and steel.
